Cafe Cabra Verde

Cafe Cabra Verde was started in 2010 by Brian and Ellyn Dubberly.  The farm,  located in Ahuachapan El Salvador,  has very humble roots and we take pride in employing local labor and using local resources.  All of Cabra Verde's operations are sourced locally.  We buy our plants from local nurseries, all of our farm workers live nearby and all processing and roasting are done locally.

We stumbled into farming coffee by chance.  We were looking at properties to purchase with the thought of building a home.  We began looking in the mountains just outside of Ahuachapan El Salvador.  A family friend suggested that we look at a farm that their sister's children were planning on selling.  It was a coffee farm just outside of town that their father farmed but had been abandoned since his death.  We instantly loved the property for the abundance of fruit trees and green space.  The deal was made and it seemed logical to restart he coffee farm.  Our goal is to create a quality cup of coffee and help some folks in the process.  Any profits of Cafe Cabra Verde goes to Salvadoran Mission Projects and to ministries of the Methodist Church in El Salvador.
